As mentioned before, most of the Act of Valor cast members are actual SEALs. However, it also seems that weapon skins may be the most significant cosmetics coming to Valorant , at least for a while. According to Qwixzo, the game will launch without character skins. In the video, Nijland claims that Riot doesn’t want to obscure the silhouettes or hitboxes of the heroes by adding lots of character skins , similar to how Apex Legends offered only simplistic skins for its heroes when it first launc


There's definitely an immediacy and immersive feel to the Act of Valor footage shown so far, what with the heavy amounts of handheld camerawork, first person POV shots, and the up-close-and-personal structure of the film in general. McCoy and Waugh are highly-experienced stunt coordinators whose skills in that area have clearly served them well with their directorial debut, allowing for some gritty explosive set pieces and terse battle sequences alike. Fortunately, it doesn't look like they've gone too overboard with the "shaky cam" or excessive editing as well - though, we won't know for certain until the actual movie is relea


The problems with Valor 's pilot stem largely from how many threads it attempts to weave into the series' tapestry, and how amorphous the show ultimately feels as a result. The opens with the story of a secret mission in Somalia flown by an elite U.S. Army group known as the Shadow Raiders that ends disastrously and leaves only Warrant Officer Nora Madani (Ochoa) and Captain Leland Gallo (Matt Barr) alive. The two leave behind one of their team members, Jimmy Kam (W. Tre' Davis), who falls into the hands of a group of terrorists. Following a time jump, the pilot moves back to the States, where Nora is recovering from her injuries – both physically and psychologically – while also dealing with the secret she and Gallo have been keeping about the truth surrounding their failed miss


The CW is bringing up the rear as far as the 2017 network upfronts are concerned. The younger-skewing network is following the likes of ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC, which have all presented their new wares to advertisers, showing off what new comedies and dramas are coming to broadcast television. This year, the networks have presented a slew of new shows, with ABC and CBS offering a surprising amount of never-before-seen programming to their lineups. As usual, The CW is doing things a little differently, with only four new shows coming to the network this year – two in the fall with Valor and Dynasty , and two as midseason premieres in Black Lightning and Life Senten

Recently, more information about what sort of skins players can expect from Valorant at launch has come to light. According to a video from Qwixzo , the YouTube channel of IGN Nordic staffer Nick Nijland, Riot is adding a weapon skin to Valorant Skins|https://valorantfocus.com/ based on Urf the manatee. Urf is a joke character that Riot claimed was going to be added to the game as part of an April Fool’s Day joke, but has instead become the mascot of League of Legends ’ Ultra Rapid Fire mode. Qwixzo reports that the Urf skins will be based on the appearance of NERF g


The lack of character skins in Valorant might be a turn-off for some players, but others will definitely appreciate the inclusion of the Urf weapon skins. Urf is a pretty niche character, and anyone who’s going into **Valorant ** without having played League of Legends will likely have no idea what the skins are even referencing. While it’s good to see Riot throwing in a treat for some of its biggest fans, the developer will probably need to offer quite a bit more to keep entirely new players from feeling left


Deadline is reporting that the film project - we'll refer to it as **Act of Valor 2 ** for brevity's sake - will be another "R-Rated gritty actioner," albeit this time the focus will be on elite SWAT officers rather than Navy SEALs. The intention seems to be for the followup installment to emulate the model used to construct the original Act of Valor movie. That is, a fictionalized account of a dangerous operation - carried out by a highly-effective task force - will be used to illustrate the harsh realities of that lifestyle; that is, by recreating actual firefight scenarios and anecdotal details with as much accuracy as possible (while still delivering an engaging viewing experien


Life Sentence , on the other hand, looks like it could be a charming hit for the network, as it has an interesting core premise but also a charming supporting cast that, from the look of the trailer, will offer the series plenty of story lines to explore as the series goes on and the initial conceit eventually moves into the background. Seeing that sort of future proofing in a trailer isn't too common, so it might be a good thing that Life Sentence seems so aware its concept will only take the series so
